The HTX Storm 14U & 16U Tier 2 teams compete against top programs across the nation.  Both teams are members of the NGHL (National Girls Hockey League) and will participate in three NGHL events throughout the season, concluding with the NGHL Championships in February.  For players interested, there is increased emphasis on progression towards Tier 1 AAA and College pathways.  As an organization, we work closely with our community partners, the Houston Jr. Aeros and Dallas Stars Elite Girls, to provide the highest level opportunities possible.

The 14UT2 and 16UT2 State Championships will take place at the end of January, with the winners advancing to the Rocky Mountain District Regionals and an opportunity to advance to the USA Hockey Nationals in late March.

Head Coach Karina Muffoletto is a highly-skilled and accomplished hockey player who played at the highest levels locally growing up here in Houston and then with the Dallas Stars Elite Girls organization.

Coach Karina was named the HTX Storm 2024-25 Coach of the Year for her efforts leading our 14U Tier 2 team to winning the State Championship - the first ever Houston girls team to do so.
